These terms apply to Azhagiya Tamizh (அழகிய தமிழ்), a Tamil reading and writing community operated by the Azhagiya Tamizh site team. By creating an account, submitting work, or participating in discussions, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. Accounts and participation
You can read public work without an account. Signing in with Google enables writing, comments, voting, and saved reading across devices. Accounts are intended for people aged 18 or older. Use your own account, provide accurate information, and keep your Google account secure. Do not impersonate another person or share access to an account with editorial or administrative privileges.
2. Authors own their work
The copyright and ownership of each contribution remain with its author or other rightful owner. Posting here does not transfer ownership to Azhagiya Tamizh. Authors remain free to publish their work elsewhere, subject to any separate agreements they have made.
Only contribute work you created or have permission to use. Obtain the necessary rights for translations, quotations, photographs, illustrations, and other material belonging to someone else, and provide appropriate attribution. You are responsible for the rights and accuracy of what you submit.
3. Permission to publish on this site
Saving a draft allows us to store it for you; it does not authorise public publication. By selecting Submit, you give Azhagiya Tamizh non-exclusive permission, without an automatic royalty obligation, to store, review, format, make reasonable editorial corrections to, and publish that work on this website if approved, with author attribution. This includes displaying it in this site's categories, series, and online weekly or monthly issues, and using its title, excerpt, and permitted cover image in links that help readers discover it.
This permission is limited to operating and presenting your contribution on this site. It does not transfer copyright or give us unrestricted permission to sell, sublicense, or reuse the work elsewhere. Editorial changes should preserve the author's meaning; substantial rewrites or a new use of the work require the author's agreement.
4. Permission for print and reuse elsewhere
Publication in print or on another website requires the author's separate, explicit permission. Submission to this site alone does not authorise a printed magazine, book, anthology, commercial republication, or a full republication on another website.
Before any such use, the author and publisher should agree in writing on the work being used, the publication or medium, attribution, permitted edits, duration or edition, distribution, and any payment. Readers and third parties must also obtain the rights holder's permission before republishing or distributing work, except where applicable law permits that use. You may share a link to a public article.
5. Review, corrections, and removal
Submissions are reviewed before publication. Editors may request changes, make reasonable corrections, approve, or reject work. Submission does not guarantee publication, a publication date, readership, or payment. Editorial and moderation decisions should protect the community and respect authors' rights.
Contact the site team if you want to correct published work, withdraw permission for continued online publication, or request removal. After verifying your request, we will stop future use under the withdrawn permission and remove the relevant work from the live site, subject to any legal requirement to retain records. Limited internal review or dispute records may be retained as explained in the Privacy Policy. We cannot retrieve copies already downloaded or printed, or guarantee immediate removal from search caches. A separately agreed print or republication licence follows its own terms.
6. Respectful and lawful conduct
Discuss writing respectfully. Do not post unlawful content, plagiarism, threats, harassment, hateful attacks, spam, scams, or another person's private information without permission. Do not misuse voting, create deceptive accounts, interfere with the service, bypass access controls, or attempt to access another user's unpublished writing or account.
Comments remain their authors' contributions. Posting a comment permits us to display it with your public profile and moderate it. You can delete your own comment text; replies may remain to preserve the discussion. Use the report control for inappropriate comments. For copyright or other concerns, contact the team with the relevant links and details.
7. Moderation and account access
We may remove or restrict content and suspend or end account access when needed to address violations, security threats, or legal obligations. You can contact the team to explain a concern or request review of a decision. Ending account access does not transfer the ownership of your work.
8. Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful community, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that every contribution is accurate. Keep your own copies of important writing. Contributions express their authors' views; publication does not mean the site endorses those views. External websites and Google sign-in are subject to their providers' own terms.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without guarantees of fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not responsible for indirect losses arising from interruptions or third-party content. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, duties, or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
9. Changes to these terms
We will publish revised terms here and update the date above. Material changes will be brought to users' attention through the site. Changes do not retroactively transfer ownership or authorise a new use of an author's work; new publication uses still require the necessary permission.
10. Contact and copyright requests
Our official email for all website enquiries and support is contact.azhagiyatamil@gmail.com. Use this address for publication permissions, removal requests, copyright concerns, questions about these terms, and any other website matter.
For a copyright complaint, include the original work, the page you are concerned about, your relationship to the rights holder, and a way to contact you. Do not send passwords or sign-in tokens. We will review the request and may ask for evidence of ownership or permission.
